Ian Reid Launches Advisory Firm

Ian Reid chief hires Thomas Batties as MD to lead the new business unit.

Ian Reid, LLC, a Washington, DC-based strategic consultancy launched an investment advisory firm on Monday.

The firm, which focuses largely on research, private equity and sovereign wealth fund investment, is led by Jarvis C. Stewart, chairman and managing partner.

Thomas Batties joined the firm from Independence Federal Savings Bank, where he was acting president and chief executive officer. In his new position, he will serve as managing director of Ian Reid, reporting to Jarvis C. Stewart.

In addition to the firm’s headquarters in Washington, DC, Ian Reid also has locations in New York, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego, London and Spain.
