WP Carey Adds Goldberg

WP Carey & Co. poached Mark Goldberg.

WP Carey & Co. poached Mark Goldberg, appointing him as president of the firm’s broker-dealer subsidiary Carey Financial LLC, which oversees the wholesaling of the firm’s Corporate Property Associates series of non-traded real estate investment trusts.

Goldberg previously served as CEO and president of AIG-Royal Alliance, and also put in executive stints at SunAmerica Financial Network, AIG Securities – Tokyo, and Royal Alliance Associates. He is a founding member and former director of the Financial Services Institute.

WP Carey & Co. is a provider of sale-leaseback and built-to-suit financing, which manages a portfolio valued at over $10 billion.
